B Family/Lifestlye Family Session/ Family Photography/ Jacksonville NC/Cortney May Photography

The last time I saw Jessica she was expecting their first child. Her husband was coming home for a deployment. I will never forget his face when he saw her belly. It was the sweetest thing. I am so glad he made it home just in time to meet his baby girl. I am also glad I was able to capture some sweet family pictures of all of them together.

Clark Homecoming/Cherry Point/Military Homecomings/Cortney May Photography

I am so happy for Heather and her beautiful family. It was a long night/morning but the children were great and we had some nice chats while waiting.  I found out that Heather actually is from a city near to where I am from. She also attends the same church as my aunt and uncle. What a small world!  Heather told me at the homecoming how so excited she was for pictures. She had followed my page for a while and loved seeing updates of other families reunited. It made her excited for hers.  I am so glad I was able to capture this sweet moment for them. They are such a sweet and beautiful family.

Frances + Tommy / Couples/ Jacksonville, NC Couples Photographer

I had the privilege of photographing Tommy coming home from deployment last year. I will never forget the excitement that Frances had on her face when she saw him for the first time. I also will not forget the chemistry the two of them had. It was something that words could not describe. I am so glad that I was able to photograph them again....they were naturals! You can just tell how much love they have for each other. I loved how they laughed together. They made my job pretty easy I must say and I love their story...

Tommy crashed her party....Frances was having a party and her sister invited some guys. One of which that came was Tommy. They ended up becoming friends and as she can see married & in love..

Hendrix Homecoming/Camp Lejeune/ Homecomings/Jacksonville, NC Military Homecoming Photographer

They are both from Texas but took them both being stationed in SC to meet and fall in love. I booked Sarah the night before her homecoming. I had horrible service in my house so I had to go outside to the sidewalk to get service. Even as it was freezing cold (okay maybe not freezing but hey I'm from Georgia so..) I was wrapped up in a blanket but as soon as I had a chance to talk to her and hear the excitement in her voice I forgot how cold it was. She told me of her son that was one whose name was Channing ( LOVE that name and she explained that although most people think it is because of her love for Channing Tatum it actually was picked by her husband) and how he had learn to walk since his daddy was gone but she had kept it from him so he could see it in person. I was so excited that my first homecoming in 2014 was going to be such a sweet moment. All homecomings are sweet but there is something about a daddy holding his child months after being gone that just pulls at your heart. Here are a few images from their homecoming. I enjoyed every second of it and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this families sweet moment!

P.S.. It was after 2am before they arrived so Channing was a little too tired to walk but I am sure he showed off for daddy the next day after some rest.
