She waited back behind the crowd patiently...(well as patient as she could) The buses pulled up, a smile came across her face. They were dismissed and she begin anxiously looking for his face. She spotted him. He came to her and they held each other tight. It was so romantic. He couldn't keep from smiling and she too had the biggest smile on her face.

Adam+Nikki/Military Homecoming/Military Homecoming Photographer/Jacksonville, NC
Adam and Nikki have been married for over a year but for seven months of that he was deployed so I would still consider them "newlyweds". Nikki was so excited and anxious to see him. We were talking and looking at the bags then all the sudden the buses pulled up. It happened so fast we were even questioning if that was them or maybe just an empty bus? But no..it was them! I am so glad I was able to capture her face when she saw the boots hit the ground. She could barely contain herself. I knew she would be a runner! Soon as she saw him she went running into his arms. They could not get enough hugs and kisses in. It was awesome to see. I am so glad that they are together again. Such a sweet couple!

Bartlett Homecoming/Military Homecoming/Homecoming Photographer/Jacksonville, NC
I was so excited when Jessica contacted me about doing her homecoming. She told me that she was expecting and he would be coming home to her baby bump. It was nice finally being able to capture this special moment. Jessica and I had been contacting each other a few months prior, she would send me pictures of dress options and we would just talk about how exciting her day was going to be. I am so glad that this daddy literally made it home in time. They are such a sweet loving couple. Before the buses pulled up Ben kept texting Jessica sweet messages. He was as excited as she was. I am so glad I was able to be part of this homecoming. I am looking forward to meeting their daughter and taking their family pictures.

Riley+Clara/Military Homecoming/Military Homecoming Photographer/Jacksonville,NC
I met Clara through some other friends of mine. I remember the first time I met her how radiant of a smile she had. She has one of those smiles that as soon as you see it you just want to smile too. Before even seeing her with her husband Riley, I could always tell by the way she talked about him how much love she has for him. They went to high school together and she was with him when he joined the Marine Corps. They are "NEWLYWEDS". They were not even married a year before he was deployed. I seriously LOVED this homecoming! Soon as he got off that bus , you just saw the love between the two of them. I am so glad I was able to be part of their homecoming. Welcome Home Riley!

McPherson Homecoming/Military Homecoming/Miltary Homecoming Photographer/Jacksonville,NC
The McPhersons are friends of ours. If you have been following me you would have seen that I had the opportunity to do maternity, newborn, and family photos for them. I went to the hospital after JP was born. I remember seeing Steven with him and how in love he was with his newborn boy. Steven deployed when JP was only a few months old. As everyone knows, children grow fast. Each day brings something new. Luckily Steven was able to see JP through Skype and had good communication during his deployment. Even with good communication I can imagine it is hard to go months without seeing your child. When Steven saw JP after seven months, I watched as he held him and had that same look in his eyes he did when he was born. It was amazing to see and to capture as well. This is another of the million reasons I love my job. There is nothing better than seeing a child with their daddy after months of being a part. I am so thankful I was able to capture this moment for them that I know they will always treasure. Here are some of my favorite images from that night. Welcome Home Steven, I know your littl family missed you!

Valenti Homecoming/Cherry Point Homecoming/Military Homecoming Photographer
Colleen was referred to me by a past homecoming client of mine which is one the biggest compliments you can get. This homecoming was awesome I might add. Not only was I able to capture emotions of the homecoming but also of a promotion. I loved that when Mike got promoted he thanked his family for all the sacrifices they make. Here are some of my favorite images from that day. So happy for this sweet family :)
