The McPhersons are friends of ours. If you have been following me you would have seen that I had the opportunity to do maternity, newborn, and family photos for them. I went to the hospital after JP was born. I remember seeing Steven with him and how in love he was with his newborn boy. Steven deployed when JP was only a few months old. As everyone knows, children grow fast. Each day brings something new. Luckily Steven was able to see JP through Skype and had good communication during his deployment. Even with good communication I can imagine it is hard to go months without seeing your child. When Steven saw JP after seven months, I watched as he held him and had that same look in his eyes he did when he was born. It was amazing to see and to capture as well. This is another of the million reasons I love my job. There is nothing better than seeing a child with their daddy after months of being a part. I am so thankful I was able to capture this moment for them that I know they will always treasure. Here are some of my favorite images from that night.
